Man, that was intense. A week of crazy deals on Steam.
I don't know how to feel about it, but almost everything that they have had of interest to me, I already have :(
Anyways, I finally succumbed and bought a couple of new ones! God only knows when I'll have so much time to at least try them (^_^)"
So, I've got:
• Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophesy
• Sid Meier's Civilization IV: The Complete Edition
• Gothic Pack (Gothic II. Gold Edition & Gothic 3)
• Flotilla
• Osmos
• Introversion bundle (Uplink, Darwinia, DEFCON and Multiwinia)
Plus, from Good Old Games I've got Syberia pack (both games for $10) and from PSN - Valhalla Knights.
Also, @
snipergirl was so cool to offer me a guest pass for Madballs in Babo: Invasion, which I played as much as I could. That was quite fun, but it's too plain and dull for me even for $4.99.
And I finally tried Maw demo. That was a little bit more fun, but I decided that I already have too much games that sits there on virtual shelf collecting digital dust. But the demo was quite fun and I think that it might be a very good game for kids.
Right until the plot falls apart.
Too bad it won't work with my xbox 360 controller :(
And it's more like 1/2 to 2/3's of the way.
The best games you bouhgt were "Uplink" "Indigo prophecies" and "Darwinia/Multiwinia" the rest is.... hm... a question of taste.
Besides Civ4 - allready got it on DVD - damn good piece of work when you know Civ I or Civ II ;)
Gothic I've got because everyone bitchin' that those games are great (well, except the 3rd one).
Syberia is a great adventure game and I have both parts on dvd too, but they're localized (and besides, one of the discs are cracked), so I've got them just in case.
As of Civ4, I don't know. I'm not a big fan of this game, but a lot of people that I trust swear that it's great. But they also admit, that it requires a lot of spare time, which I don't have, sadly.
Gothic is a great game! And you're right: the 3rd game is crappy. The only part of Gothic which I did not played to the end.
Civ4 dont realy need a lot of time. A lot of time is taken when you play it the first time (learning the system and mechanics) one game can last a month but you can save at any point.
I love that type of game - playing for weeks and months everytime you got time for it if you wish. But it's a special type of gameplay. Some love it some hate it. Look for yourself.
